FAISALABAD 3 Oct (Digital Itla) — Under the 'Suthra Punjab Program' envisioned by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Faisalabad is witnessing an intensive anti-littering and cleanliness drive aimed at transforming the city into a zero-waste urban center.
Operating under the directives of Faisalabad Suthra Punjab Agency Managing Director Imran Shams, dedicated anti-littering squads are actively conducting awareness campaigns across local markets, commercial hubs, and public spaces. Shopkeepers, citizens, and particularly pushcart vendors are being educated on proper waste disposal methods and the critical importance of hygiene.
The administration has issued a strict warning that violators of anti-littering regulations will face severe legal action, including heavy fines. Fruit and vegetable vendors have been specifically instructed to prevent waste accumulation around their carts and ensure all refuse is disposed of in designated dustbins.
The Suthra Punjab Agency has appealed to the public to actively participate in the cleanliness drive, avoid littering streets and public spaces, and support local authorities in maintaining a clean and healthy environment for all residents.
