FAISALABAD, Aug. 12, 2026: Special children at Tanzeem-ul-Lisan in Faisalabad took part in Independence Day celebrations with national enthusiasm, expressing their love for Pakistan by carrying national flags and participating in a special ceremony.
The event featured a flag-hoisting ceremony, Independence Day cake-cutting and an exhibition of paintings created by students with hearing impairments. The artwork showcased the children's creativity and their affection for the country.
Director Social Welfare Faisalabad Division Khalida Rafiq attended the ceremony as the chief guest. President Tanzeem-ul-Lisan Dr Iftikhar Ahmed, Senior Vice President Chaudhry Sarfraz Ahmed, General Secretary Subhan Ali, Principal Kulsoom Iftikhar, Senior Vice Principal Shaista Irshad, Vice Principal Saba Saud, faculty members, special children and their parents also attended.
Speaking on the occasion, Khalida Rafiq praised the enthusiastic participation of special children in Independence Day celebrations. She said people with disabilities are an important part of society and ensuring their participation in national events and celebrations is a collective responsibility.
She said special children possess tremendous abilities, creative thinking and a strong sense of patriotism, which can be further developed by providing them with appropriate opportunities and encouragement.
Rafiq also appreciated Tanzeem-ul-Lisan's efforts to provide education and training to special children and help develop their abilities. She said the paintings displayed at the event were a beautiful reflection of the students' creativity and love for their homeland.
She added that national celebrations such as Independence Day provide special children with valuable opportunities to demonstrate their abilities and play a positive role in society.
President Tanzeem-ul-Lisan Dr Iftikhar Ahmed thanked the chief guest and other participants. He said special children regularly participate in national and important-day celebrations organized by the institution, and such activities have now become a regular feature.
He said the main objective of involving special children in national celebrations is to promote patriotism, national unity and a positive connection with society.
Dr Ahmed said Tanzeem-ul-Lisan would continue its activities for the welfare, education and character development of special children and would provide them with more opportunities to participate in national and social activities.
The ceremony concluded with a special prayer for the security, development, prosperity and stability of Pakistan.
