Slight Decrease in Petrol and Diesel Prices; New Prices Announced

(Digital Itla) The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has slightly reduced the prices of petroleum products.

According to a release issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), under the federal government's revised petroleum pricing mechanism, OGRA has determined the new ex-depot prices of petroleum products for August 1, 2026.

According to the notification, the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has been reduced by 66 paisas per liter, bringing the new price of diesel to Rs 392.38 per liter.

As per the statement, the price of Motor Spirit (Petrol) has been reduced by 12 paisas per liter, fixing the new price of petrol at Rs 336.03 per liter.

According to the Ministry of Petroleum, the new prices will take effect from August 1, 2026, and will remain enforced until August 3, 2026.

The government determines the prices of petroleum products considering crude oil prices in the international market, the value of the dollar, and other factors.

It is worth noting that minor adjustments in the prices of petroleum products directly impact the expenses of transport, industry, and general consumers.
