According to details, a severe earthquake struck the southwestern province of Kumamoto in Japan, recorded at a magnitude of 7.1.
Following the earthquake, authorities issued a tsunami warning.
The Japan Meteorological Agency stated that the initial magnitude on the Richter scale was recorded as 7.1, while the epicenter was located just 4 kilometers southeast of Uki City.
However, immediately after the earthquake, Japanese authorities issued a tsunami advisory for parts of the country's southwestern coastal regions, instructing citizens to exercise caution.
