(Digital Itla) The U.S. Senate has rejected a Democratic resolution opposing war with Iran.
According to U.S. media reports, the resolution aimed at restricting President Trump’s war powers failed by a vote of 47 to 49.
The resolution called for making military action against Iran conditional upon approval from Congress.
The U.S. Senate did not block Trump from continuing operations against Iran, even though four Republican senators voted in favor of the Democratic resolution.
Earlier today, the U.S. House of Representatives had passed a resolution to stop the war against Iran, where it received support from four Republican members.
