Faisalabad 7 Oct (DIGITAL ITLA) In line with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision to promote art and culture, robust measures are underway at the Punjab Council of Arts (PNCA), Faisalabad Division, to organize and expand literary and cultural activities. Under the supervision of Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bukhari, Information Secretary Syed Tahir Raza Hamdani, Executive Director PNCA Mahboob Alam, and Commissioner Faisalabad Dr. Imran Hamid Sheikh, special initiatives are being pursued to boost cultural events, encourage artists, and strengthen ties with literary circles.

As part of these efforts, the Punjab Council of Arts has announced the launch of a formal registration drive for literary organizations, writers, poets, intellectuals, and cultural personalities to make its 'Adabi Baithak' more vibrant and effective. This registration will provide Faisalabad’s literary community with a structured platform to regularly host poetry recitals (mushairas), literary sessions, panel discussions, book launches, intellectual discourses, and other cultural events. The initiative aims to offer prominent and emerging writers a platform to showcase their creative talents while actively engaging the younger generation with art and literature.

Additionally, extensive renovation and development work on the Punjab Council of Arts building in Faisalabad is moving forward rapidly to transform the facility into a more welcoming and fully equipped cultural hub for artists, writers, students, and the general public. Director Punjab Council of Arts Faisalabad, Muhammad Imran Raza, stated that culture forms the core of a society's identity and reaffirmed the council's commitment to supporting artists and expanding literary outreach. He extended an open invitation to all local writers, poets, artists, intellectuals, and cultural bodies to participate in the Adabi Baithak and join the registration process to enrich Faisalabad's literary landscape.
