Prime Minister Promises Full Facilities for Overseas Pakistanis

(Digital Itla) Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was briefed by the Ministry of External Affairs on enhancing embassy facilities for overseas Pakistanis, digitizing document verification, streamlining grievance procedures, and establishing digital transaction systems from abroad. The meeting was attended by officials from the Ministry of External Affairs, Pakistani ambassadors, the Ministry of Interior, FIA, Ministry of IT, and other relevant authorities. PM Shehbaz Sharif highlighted that overseas Pakistanis are a valuable asset and providing them with facilities is a top government priority. A QR-code system has been introduced to streamline power of attorney, real estate transactions, and document verification. He welcomed the digitization of complaint registration via QR codes and requested display of these codes in embassies alongside awareness campaigns. It was also noted that evening shifts have begun at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs office in Islamabad, verification services have been introduced at the Asaan Khidmat Center, and integration with HEC, IBCC, NADRA, and National Police Bureau databases has expedited the process.
