Open Court Held in Faisalabad, RPO Hears Complaints from Over 270 Citizens

FAISALABAD, August 21, 2026: Open courts are continuing across Faisalabad region under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to address public grievances promptly and provide citizens with access to justice at their doorstep. An open court was held at the Regional Police Office Faisalabad under the chairmanship of Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sohail Akhtar Sukhera, where citizens from across the region presented their complaints and problems.

During the open court, RPO Sukhera personally heard more than 270 applicants. After reviewing their complaints, he issued immediate relief and redressal orders on more than 92 applications, while other complaints were referred to the relevant officers for further inquiry and legal action. The RPO directed police officers to complete action on all applications received during the open court within the stipulated period in accordance with the law and keep applicants informed about progress.

Sohail Akhtar Sukhera said that providing citizens with swift, transparent and impartial justice is the police department’s top priority. He said negligence in providing timely justice to vulnerable and disadvantaged people would not be tolerated. He directed officers to treat citizens respectfully, listen to their complaints seriously and avoid unnecessary delays in registering cases. The RPO further instructed officers to ensure that all investigations are conducted on merit, transparently and in accordance with the law. He said no case should be influenced by pressure or influence and that no innocent person should be subjected to legal action.

Sukhera said the main purpose of open courts is not only to provide immediate and effective justice but also to strengthen public confidence in the police.He added that complaints of injustice, delays in registering cases, negligence in investigations or misuse of authority would be addressed according to the law. According to a police spokesperson, open courts will continue across the Faisalabad region to ensure the prompt resolution of public complaints, transparent investigations and equal access to justice for all citizens.
