NEW 100-BED TRAUMA CENTER IN PUNJAB HEALTH DRIVE HANDED OVER TO DISTRICT HEALTH AUTHORITY
FAISALABAD, Pakistan 26 Sep (Digital Itla) — Construction of a state-of-the-art, 100-bed trauma center at the Tehsil Headquarter Hospital in Dajkote has been completed and handed over to local health authorities, officials said on Saturday.
The project, completed under a healthcare expansion program led by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, is designed to bolster emergency medical services and provide advanced treatment facilities in the district.
Dr. Shahzad Mahmood, Chief Executive Officer of the District Health Authority, inspected the facility following the handover and confirmed that a proposal for 191 new personnel posts (Schedule of New Expenditure) has been dispatched to the Secretary of the Health and Population Department in Lahore to make the center fully operational.
The building's completion was expedited through joint oversight by Faisalabad Commissioner Dr. Imran Hamid Sheikh and Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Noman Siddique, officials added.
Medical operations at the trauma center are expected to commence shortly once staff allocations receive final state approval.
