NCCIA arrests man in Islamabad for using AI to plan girlfriend's murder; criminal case registered

Islamabad 13 Oct (DIGITAL ITLA): In an unprecedented cybercrime enforcement action, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Islamabad apprehended a suspect who allegedly utilized Artificial Intelligence (AI) platforms to seek instructions and execution methods for murdering his girlfriend.

According to institutional sources, the suspect attempted to leverage AI tools to plan a violent crime. Acting on technical surveillance and cyber intelligence, the NCCIA tracked down and arrested the suspect in Islamabad before any execution attempt.

The NCCIA has registered a formal criminal case against the accused under relevant cybercrime and penal provisions, initiating further interrogation. Authorities reiterated that unlawful or criminal exploitation of digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence will face strict prosecution under cyber laws.
