Modernization of FDA Finance Department: Comprehensive software to digitize financial transactions and enhance transparency

Faisalabad 10 Oct (DIGITAL ITLA): On the directives of Director General Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Muhammad Asif Chaudhry, the Finance Department of the authority is undergoing complete modernization to introduce transparency, accuracy, and efficiency in ledger entries, fee recoveries, expenditures, and overall financial management.

In this regard, a high-level meeting was chaired by Additional Director General FDA Qaisar Abbas Rand, attended by Director IT Yasir Ijaz Chatha, Deputy Director IT Abdullah Noor, Deputy Directors Finance Afzaal Ansari and Adnan Shahzad, among other officials. Addressing the meeting, the ADG FDA emphasized that adopting state-of-the-art technology is vital to eliminate administrative delays and accounting errors. He directed officers to draft actionable proposals for developing specialized finance software in consultation with technical experts.

Qaisar Abbas Rand directed that the proposed software must integrate revenue tracking, expenditure logging, budget monitoring, and automated report generation. He noted that moving away from manual record-keeping will eliminate human errors, bolster institutional transparency, and allow leadership to make data-driven financial decisions efficiently.
