(Digital Itla) The price of gold per tola in Pakistan has decreased by 1,800 rupees.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, after a reduction of 1,800 rupees, the price of gold per tola stands at 432,036 rupees.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold dropped by 153 rupees to 370,401 rupees.
In the global market, gold prices also experienced a downward trend, dropping by $18 to $4,096 per ounce.
Gold is traditionally viewed as a safe-haven investment whose value rises during times of inflation, political instability, and economic uncertainty. It has been used as currency and a measure of wealth for centuries; when investors feel uncertain about other assets, they frequently turn to gold.
The pricing mechanism for gold in Pakistan was previously updated, fixing the price at $20 per ounce higher than the international market rate.
