(Digital Itla) Karachi is experiencing a shortage of 75 million gallons of water after power could not be restored at the Dhabeji Pumping Station eight hours after a breakdown. According to the Water Corporation, a breakdown occurred at 8:45 AM in the third phase of Dhabeji Pumping. K-Electric declared a cable fault at the station, and technical teams arrived at the site. The fault temporarily shut down three pumps. The Water Corporation stated that the power issue reduced the daily water supply by 75 million gallons, affecting areas including North Nazimabad, Nazimabad, Gulberg, New Karachi, Landhi, Korangi, and parts of Scheme 33. Supply will resume once power is fully restored.
