Ishaq Dar Contacts Saudi Foreign Minister; Discusses Developments in Red Sea and Bab-el-Mandeb
(Digital Itla) Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held telephonic conversations with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan and Malaysian Foreign Minister Dato' Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan, reaffirming the commitment to bilateral relations and joint efforts on multilateral forums.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Ishaq Dar and Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan exchanged views on regional and international developments. Both leaders discussed recent developments in the Red Sea and the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait. The proposal to convene a meeting of Arab and Islamic countries regarding the dire situation in Palestine was welcomed. Both foreign ministers agreed to remain in close contact given the present situation.
Ishaq Dar and the Malaysian Foreign Minister also discussed regional and international developments, engaging in detailed talks regarding the situation in Palestine and occupied Jerusalem (Al-Quds).
Ishaq Dar expressed best wishes for the government and people of Malaysia regarding upcoming state elections. Reaffirmation was also made to work together on bilateral relations and multilateral forums with Malaysia.
