Individual arrested for making hoax robbery call: D-Type Colony police take action against misuse of emergency helpline

Faisalabad 10 Oct (DIGITAL ITLA): Taking strict action against elements misusing emergency helplines and misleading law enforcement, Faisalabad Police arrested a suspect for making a hoax robbery call.

According to details, the suspect, Amir Akram, dialed Rescue 15 to report that armed outlaws had intercepted him and looted cash. Acting promptly on the distress call, a team from the D-Type Colony Police Station rushed to the scene to verify the incident, only to find that the report was completely fabricated and no such crime had taken place.

Following the verification, police arrested suspect Amir Akram for generating a bogus call and wasting emergency resources, initiating formal legal proceedings against him.

Commenting on the incident, CPO Faisalabad warned that the misuse of the emergency 15 service and providing false information to law enforcement will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and strict legal action will be taken against violators.
