FIA Faisalabad Zone: Major Action Against Human Trafficking, Suspect Arrested for Visa Fraud

FAISALABAD/SAHIWAL, Sept 29 (DIGITAL ITLA) — Following the directives of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Faisalabad Zone, operations are ongoing against violations of human trafficking and immigration laws. In this connection, the FIA Composite Circle Sahiwal has apprehended a nominated suspect involved in human trafficking.

According to details, the operation was carried out under the directives of Director FIA Faisalabad Zone Saqib Sultan and the supervision of Deputy Director FIA Composite Circle Sahiwal Muhammad Hashim Raza. The team arrested the nominated suspect, Muhammad Iqbal, son of Abdul Jabbar, a resident of Chak No. 150/9-L, Tehsil and District Sahiwal.

An FIR No. 706/24 was registered against the suspect on December 26, 2024, under sections 17/22 of the Emigration Ordinance 1979. Investigations revealed that the suspect had taken 550,000 rupees from the complainant on the pretext of providing a Saudi Arabian work visa for his nephew, Kashif, but neither provided the visa nor returned the money.

FIA authorities stated that the suspect has been arrested and further investigation has been launched, while strict legal action is underway in the case.
