FAISALABAD, Sept 29 (DIGITAL ITLA) — Police in Faisalabad have arrested 5,308 proclaimed offenders during an extensive crackdown across the district this year, officials said.
The operations were conducted under the supervision of City Police Officer (CPO) Tanveer Hussain as part of a targeted initiative to trace absconding suspects.
According to police figures, the arrests include 1,973 high-priority suspects classified under Category A for serious crimes, alongside 3,335 individuals categorized under Category B.
The current year's figure reflects a notable increase in law enforcement activity compared to the previous year, when 3,951 proclaimed offenders were apprehended, marking an addition of 1,357 arrests.
Police officials attributed the higher detection and capture rate to the integration of modern technical resources, closed-circuit television (CCTV) surveillance, and human intelligence networks.
