FAISALABAD, Aug. 28, 2026 — Faisalabad Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Noman Siddique inaugurated Haq Forest Park II on Friday by planting a sapling, launching a tree-planting campaign aimed at expanding green spaces and improving the urban environment. The park, established under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, covers three acres and has more than 3,000 plants.

New green space for residents

Speaking at the inauguration, Siddique said the forest park would play an important role in providing residents with a clean, healthy and greener environment. He said trees and green spaces were essential for reducing environmental pollution and improving the quality of life in urban areas. The deputy commissioner said practical measures would continue across the district to promote tree plantation and environmental improvement. He also urged residents to actively participate in plantation drives and take responsibility for caring for newly planted trees to ensure their long-term survival. Additional Deputy Commissioner for Municipal Services Anwar Ali, Assistant Commissioner Saddar Dr Zulqarnain and other relevant officials attended the inauguration ceremony.
