FAISALABAD — A total of 109,244 students appeared in the Intermediate Part-I Annual Examination 2026 conducted by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Faisalabad, with 77,708 students passing, for a pass rate of 71.13%, officials said. The results were announced at a ceremony held at the BISE Faisalabad auditorium, where Board Chairman Professor Dr Rana Binyamin released the results online. The results were subsequently uploaded to the board's website.

Speaking at the ceremony, Binyamin said the board was using modern technology to improve transparency, merit and standards in the examination system."Making the examination system more effective and transparent and providing better facilities to students are among the board's priorities," he said.
Binyamin said the board had taken steps to deliver certificates to regular students through their educational institutions and to private candidates at the addresses provided on their admission forms.

He said certificates for students who appeared in the 2024 and 2025 matriculation and intermediate annual and supplementary examinations had been dispatched, while the remaining 2026 certificates would be sent before the next examination. The board has also signed a memorandum of understanding with Pakistan's National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) to verify students' names, parents' names and dates of birth during registration, Binyamin said.

The board had also signed an agreement with United Bank Limited (UBL) under which payments to supervisory staff would be transferred directly to their bank accounts instead of being issued through cheques, he said. Punjab's education policies and measures to improve educational facilities were also acknowledged by Binyamin during the ceremony. Controller Examinations Professor Rana Atiq-ur-Rehman said the Intermediate Part-I Annual Examination 2026 began on May 20 and, including practical examinations, concluded on Aug. 31.

He said 109,244 students appeared in the examination and 77,708 passed. All stages, from the conduct of examinations to preparation of the results, were completed according to prescribed rules and procedures, he said. The board had also arranged training for supervisory staff and resident inspectors to improve the quality of the examination process, he added. Board Secretary Professor Dr Saleem Taqi Shah congratulated the position holders, their parents and teachers, saying students' achievements were the result of joint efforts by families and teachers. The ceremony began with a recitation from the Quran, followed by a naat by reciter Ehsan Owaisi. Awards were distributed among the position holders at the end of the ceremony, followed by a group photograph with the board chairman.
