(Digital Itla) New conditions for 'Visa on Arrival' have been clarified for citizens of specific countries, allowing eligible individuals to obtain a 14-day or 60-day visa upon arrival in the UAE.

According to details, Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) clarified the conditions, stating that eligible citizens from India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Kenya, and South Africa (and their accompanying eligible family members) can avail of this facility provided they hold a regular passport and a valid residence permit/visa from approved countries.

The GDRFA stated that applicants must hold a passport valid for at least 6 months, a recent passport photo with a white background, and a valid residence permit or visa issued by the US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, or Singapore.

The 14-day visa can be extended once for an additional 14 days, whereas the 60-day visa is non-extendable. Applications can be submitted via the GDRFA website or smart app, where approved visas are sent to the registered email within 48 hours.

The fee for the 14-day visa on arrival is set at AED 172.50, while the 60-day visa fee is AED 422.50. The GDRFA noted that this facility aims to ease travel, boost tourism, and attract international travelers, highlighting that 73,551 visas were issued under this program in the first six months of 2026.
