FAISALABAD: 5 Oct (Digital Itla) — Police have successfully resolved a blind murder case in the jurisdiction of Theikriwala police station, arresting the victim's husband for her murder. According to police, the suspect, Arif, took his wife, Sameera, to the fields over a dispute regarding a second marriage and shot her dead. Following the crime, he staged a false narrative of firing by unknown assailants to conceal the facts. Under the supervision of SP Iqbal Division Saeed Ahmed, the SHO of Theikriwala initiated a rigorous investigation based on suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident. Upon taking suspect Arif into custody and subjecting him to intense interrogation, he confessed to the murder. Police have also recovered the murder weapon on his identification. The City Police Officer (CPO) Faisalabad stated that the accused will be prosecuted with solid evidence and awarded exemplary punishment through the court.
