Attack on Checkpost in Tank: 15 Martyred Including 12 Soldiers; 12 Khwarij Killed in Retaliatory Action

(Digital Itla) Terrorists attacked a police checkpost in the Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, resulting in the martyrdom of 15 personnel, including 12 soldiers. In response, security forces killed 12 khwarij (terrorists).

According to an ISPR statement, attackers tried to breach the checkpost perimeter, but swift action by security personnel foiled their attempt. Forces targeted fleeing terrorists, killing 12. During the attack, the assailants rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into the checkpost's outer wall, causing severe structural damage. The 15 martyrs include 12 army personnel, 2 police officers, and 1 forestry department official. A clearance operation is ongoing in the area.
