US Missile Stockpiles Running Low, Reports American Newspaper

(Digital Itla) While US strikes on Iran continue, reports in American newspapers claim that the war with Iran has depleted US missile stockpiles.

Reports claim that while the US may be preparing for a larger military operation against Iran, its stockpile of missiles and other weapons is running low.

Speaking to The Washington Post, a US official linked to the Iran conflict stated that while the US is preparing for a broader war, safely sustaining a long-term military campaign with existing weaponry is difficult.

However, the White House completely rejected such claims, stating that the US military has sufficient weaponry to achieve all of President Trump's strategic goals. In response to the White House denial, the reporting official suggested that the White House might not be fully aware of the ground situation.

According to the report, if the US expands the scope of its military operations, it could face shortages of air defense interceptor missiles, long-range precision-guided weapons, and other military resources. Additionally, rapidly deploying large numbers of additional troops, fighter jets, and equipment following recent operational losses presents a major challenge for the US.

Seth Jones, head of the Defense and Security Program at the Washington-based Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), validated these concerns, stating that if tensions escalate, the US military may not be fully prepared. He added that sending ground troops to islands or coastal areas in the Persian Gulf would prove to be a major strategic error.
