(Digital Itla) DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has stated that overall, more than 40,000 intelligence-based operations have been conducted in the country. Terrorists will either have to lay down their arms or we will eliminate them.

Giving a press briefing on counter-terrorism and security matters, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry informed that large-scale counter-terrorism operations were carried out in the country over the last 5 years. So far, 31,000 intelligence-based operations have been conducted in Balochistan, while 7,177 operations were carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

He shared that 819 individuals have been martyred in acts of terrorism so far this year. Fighting against terrorism, 303 Army personnel were martyred, and 322 civilians also lost their lives in terrorist incidents.

He stated that 2,084 confirmed terrorists were killed. Security forces conducted an average of 194 operations daily, resulting in 10 terrorists being killed each day. A total of 28 suicide attacks took place, with Afghan nationals being involved in most of the bomb blasts. Afghans were involved in the incidents that occurred in Tank and Karachi. The Afghan Taliban regime is aiding terrorists, and Afghanistan's diplomacy also revolves around terrorism. We will inflict a hundredfold pain on terrorists and their facilitators so that they remember it until the Day of Judgment.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry remarked that a deliberate attempt is made to spread the impression that conditions in Balochistan are bad. There is no room for talks with terrorists; they must either surrender according to the law or we will fight them.

He said propaganda is intentionally created regarding Balochistan because the elite and Sardars (feudal lords) do not want a poor man's child to move forward. There is a tribe of terrorists that maintains the status quo—and that status quo is that a poor man's child should not get an education and remain their slave forever. They are used to treating the Levies as a personal force and acting as its tribal lord. The issue in Balochistan is its Sardars and elite class; they want the Levies force for the guarding of their personal homes. We will speak with the people of Balochistan, not with the elite class and Sardars.

The DG ISPR stated that these people consider the Levies Force as their tribal guard and threaten terrorism otherwise. The Afghan Taliban regime has only one job: they run terrorism as a business. What else is common between Afghanistan and India besides the BLA? These are not Afghanistan, but areas under the control of the Afghan Taliban regime.

He said that the constitution and law of Pakistan are equal for everyone. Are we a hard state? A hard state is one where all affairs are conducted according to the constitution and law. A hard state does not at all mean that the military is running the state. It is everyone's responsibility to be loyal to the state, because if the state exists, politics exists. The state is our very life, and Pakistan is our first and last identity.

The DG ISPR added that we are going out to hunt and eliminate them. Therefore, Fitna-al-KhawarijFitna-al-Hindustan, and their handlers sitting in India are now targeting soft targets. So far this year, 178 civilians have been martyred. They destroyed bridges and roads at 24 locations and set fires at 60 locations—this shows their sense of deprivation and the anti-development agenda they promote.

He said they are committing crimes involving the young girls of Balochistan, mentally trapping them to carry out terrorism through them. This has no connection to our religion or culture. Regarding missing persons, it is sometimes claimed there are 10,000 or 20,000. A commission on missing persons was formed where applications were submitted.

The DG ISPR said people from Balochistan themselves state that their brother or son went missing and has no connection to them. Later, it is discovered that such missing individuals joined the BLA. Those whose names are provided in the lists of missing persons are often killed in battle; some missing persons are killed during terrorist acts in Gwadar, Quetta, and Mastung. The Balochistan Police is capable enough to crush these miscreants.

He mentioned that over 300 bogus websites from India are spreading propaganda against Balochistan. These fake websites are fueling hatred and division through various platforms. India's cyber element might be behind them, but our youth are no less capable. We want to empower the people of Balochistan and are doing so; every year, 10,800 students in Balochistan receive education in IT.

The DG ISPR stated that 2.6 million Afghan refugees have been sent back. If anyone wants to come, they must get a visa, request the government, be on record, and then return. So far, we have seized smuggled goods worth nearly Rs 25 billion. In a hard state, the only place for smugglers is prison. Around 4,500 individuals involved in human trafficking have been arrested.

Responding to a question regarding Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi's statement, the DG ISPR said the Interior Minister's statement was his personal opinion. Without good governance, your issues cannot be resolved. There are 14 points in the National Action Plan on which all political parties agree. Good governance is crucial for Pakistan's security. If problems are not being resolved, it means something must be done for good governance. The country's affairs cannot be resolved without good governance.

He said the decision of Kashmiris is firm, and now India has to do something. They have deployed nearly 1 million security forces in occupied Kashmir. Their orientation was straightened out in 2019, and in 2025, past and future debts were settled. The people of occupied Kashmir are asking them where their security was in Pahalgam.

The DG ISPR stated that Pakistan and Kashmir are integral parts of each other. Kashmir was, is, and will remain an integral part of Pakistan. Kashmir is an unfinished agenda of the Partition of India. It is up to Kashmiris to decide whether they want to join Pakistan or India. Why did those Kashmiris who came from there leave? Because a tyrannical system exists there.

Speaking on the situation in Azad Kashmir, the DG ISPR said they want to enforce their will by force. The state told the protesters to contest elections and join the assembly; their agenda is becoming clear to everyone.

The DG ISPR noted that Pakistan and the UAE are brotherly countries with deep relations. Illogical assumptions are made on social media regarding Pakistan-UAE relations. No two countries in the world have an identical perspective on everything, and those spreading propaganda will never succeed.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia share a special, strategic relationship. Saudi Arabia is the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and Pakistan is the Defender of the Two Holy Mosques.

He mentioned that what the Maulana said regarding the martyrs is incomprehensible. Do you think someone does all this for money? It is hard to understand why such a statement was made. Martyrdom and martyrs are the backbone of Pakistan's armed forces, and the entire force stands behind the philosophy of martyrdom. Your brave children who are martyred defending the homeland are courageous; when a Navy sailor dives into the sea, he has already offered his life.
