Security Put on High Alert Across Punjab, Including Lahore
(Digital Itla) IG Punjab Abdul Karim ordered enhanced security across the entire province, including Lahore, directing authorities to ensure the security of mosques, imambargahs, and shrines.
According to details, IG Punjab Abdul Karim issued directives to tighten security measures and step up patrolling across the province.
He instructed police officials to utilize all available resources to maintain law and order in all districts of the province.
The IG Punjab specifically directed that the security of mosques, imambargahs, shrines, and other religious places across the province must be guaranteed under all circumstances.
Additionally, police patrolling will be immediately increased in commercial centers, markets, and busy thoroughfares to prevent any untoward incidents.
Directing security agencies to remain on high alert, Abdul Karim emphasized keeping a strict vigil on miscreants from Fitna-al-Khwarij and Fitna-al-Hindustan, as well as anti-state elements. Intelligence-based search operations around important and sensitive locations will continue uninterrupted.
Regarding the province's entry and exit points, the IG Punjab ordered personnel deployed at inter-provincial border checkpoints to remain on high alert 24/7.
He also directed strict logistical checking of suspicious vehicles, individuals, and goods at all checkpoints to prevent the entry of contraband or miscreants into the province.
