FAISALABAD: 6 Oct (Digital Itla) Regional Police Officer Faisalabad Inam-ur-Rehman Malik visited the Safe City Faisalabad facility and reviewed its monitoring and surveillance operations.
Upon his arrival, SSP Safe City Razaullah, DSP Aamir Sultan and members of the Safe City team received the RPO.
During the visit, RPO Inam Ur Rehman inspected various sections of the Safe City facility. SSP Razaullah briefed him on the administrative and monitoring functions of the project, including surveillance through Safe City cameras, timely identification of suspicious activities and the mechanism for immediate police response in case of any untoward incident.
RPO Inam ur Rehman Malik directed the Safe City authorities to make more effective use of modern technology for crime prevention and to further strengthen the crime-control mechanism.
He stressed the need for continuous monitoring of suspicious activities through surveillance cameras and directed that any suspicious movement or activity be promptly identified, followed by an immediate police response and effective legal action.
Further, RPO Inam Ur Rehman Malik also directed the authorities to ensure effective monitoring of important roads, sensitive locations and entry and exit points of the city.
RPO said the Safe City project was playing an important role in preventing crime, monitoring criminal elements and providing a secure environment to citizens.
He directed that all available resources be utilised to make the system more effective and functional.
“Protection of the lives and property of citizens is the foremost priority of the police,” the RPO Inam Ur Rehman said.
