Faisalabad 15 Oct 2026 (DIGITAL ITLA): To streamline lawful medicine distribution and ensure absolute transparency across the pharmaceutical supply chain, a high-level meeting with pharma distributors and qualified personnel was held under the chairmanship of Secretary District Quality Control Board (DQCB), Muhammad Mohsin Asghar. Over 30 leading pharma distributors attended the session.

The meeting reviewed various operational and legal aspects concerning Drug Sale Licenses (DSL). Deliberations were held regarding recent Federal Court rulings on medicine distribution to private clinics and hospitals lacking valid licensing credentials.

During the proceedings, it was emphasized that private pharmacies and medical stores operating within private hospitals must strictly comply with regulatory frameworks and obtain mandatory Drug Sale Licenses.

Secretary DQCB Muhammad Mohsin Asghar directed all pharma distributors to immediately halt medicine supplies to any unverified pharmacy, retail store, or medical facility operating without a valid license, warning that strict legal action would be initiated against violators under relevant drug laws.
