FAISALABAD 3 Oct (Digital Itla) — The local administration has unveiled comprehensive plans to enhance the aesthetic appeal of Faisalabad's main Canal Road and improve recreational facilities for citizens, aiming to upgrade urban infrastructure and promote a healthier environment.
Chairing a high-level meeting, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Noman Siddique reviewed ongoing proposals focused on the beautification of the canal area stretching from Jhal Pul to Gatwala. The initiative includes the installation of decorative arches, commemorative monuments, floating docks, modern lighting, and extensive tree plantation along the canal banks.
Additionally, plans for constructing a dedicated walking track from D-Type Chowk to Jhal Pul were thoroughly evaluated. The track will be equipped with public benches, waste bins, and directional signage to facilitate citizens seeking healthy outdoor activities and daily walks.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that these integrated development projects will significantly elevate the city's landscape and provide residents with a clean, pleasant, and vibrant recreational environment.
