Pakistan: "An Attack on Saudi Arabia Will Be Considered an Attack on Pakistan"

(Digital Itla) Pakistan has expressed deep concern over the recent attacks carried out by Houthi rebels against Saudi Arabia.

Speaking to the Reuters news agency, a Pakistani official stated that the top political and military leadership has clearly conveyed to Iran at the highest level that Saudi Arabia is a red line. Any attack on Saudi Arabia will be deemed an attack on Pakistan.

Reuters reported that Pakistan had previously voiced its displeasure over Iranian strikes targeted near Saudi Arabia earlier this year.

Yemen's Houthi rebels recently targeted Abha Airport in southern Saudi Arabia using multiple ballistic missiles and drones. Following the strike, the Houthi militia issued a statement warning all airlines operating in Saudi airspace to take their warning seriously.

According to reports, this action by the Houthis was in retaliation for strikes carried out the previous day by the Saudi-backed Yemeni government against the Houthi-controlled Sana'a Airport.

Meanwhile, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has strongly condemned the ballistic missile and drone attacks on southern Saudi Arabia, demanding strict international action against the Houthi militia. GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Al-Budaiwi stated that this terrorist attack openly violates international and humanitarian laws, proving a continuous effort to sabotage regional peace and target innocent civilians and critical infrastructure.
