Two Killed in Road Accident in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD, Aug. 7 — Two people were killed in a road accident in Faisalabad on Friday after a motorcycle struck a pedestrian crossing the road, rescue officials said.

According to Rescue 1122, the accident occurred near the Jhal Pul Underpass on Abdullahpur Canal Road, where the collision claimed the lives of 62-year-old Muhammad Yar, son of Muhammad Sultan, and 23-year-old Hamza, son of Gulzar.

Rescue teams arrived at the scene shortly after receiving the emergency call and provided cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and other emergency medical assistance. However, both victims had died at the scene.

After completing the necessary legal formalities, Rescue 1122 shifted the bodies to Allied Hospital Faisalabad in the presence of police officials and the victims' families.

Police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
