Major Anti-Encroachment Operation in Faisalabad, Illegal Structures Demolished in Gulberg B

FDA, Municipal Corporation jointly clear public pathways and remove permanent encroachments

FAISALABAD, Aug. 12, 2026: On the directives of the divisional and district administration, joint anti-encroachment teams of the Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) and Municipal Corporation carried out a major operation in the streets and markets of Gulberg B, demolishing several permanent encroachments and illegal structures with the help of heavy machinery.

The operation was aimed at clearing public passageways of encroachments and ensuring better and unobstructed movement for residents.

FDA, Municipal Corporation Conduct Joint Operation

On the instructions of FDA Director General Muhammad Asif Chaudhry, the FDA anti-encroachment team participated in the operation along with Estate Officer Faran Hashmi, Enforcement Inspector Aslam Ansari and other staff members.

The Municipal Corporation's anti-encroachment team also took part in the operation under the supervision of Deputy Chief Officer Azmat Firdous, Anti-Encroachment Inspector Akram Shehzad and other recovery staff.

Permanent Encroachments and Illegal Garages Demolished

During the operation, permanent platforms, ramps, railings, garages built on streets and other unauthorized structures in various streets and markets of Gulberg B were demolished using heavy machinery.

Several public passageways were cleared following the operation, helping improve access and traffic flow in the area.

Encroachers Had Been Served Notices

Officials said the FDA and Municipal Corporation had conducted a detailed survey of the area before launching the operation and identified the illegal encroachments.

Notices were subsequently issued to the relevant individuals, directing them to voluntarily remove the illegal structures and encroachments.

However, as the encroachers failed to comply within the given deadline, authorities were forced to launch the joint operation.

No Illegal Construction on Public Land Will Be Tolerated

Officials said no illegal construction or encroachment on public passageways, roads or government land would be tolerated.

They warned violators against establishing encroachments in the future, saying that repeat violations could lead to departmental action as well as the registration of criminal cases against those responsible.

Authorities said anti-encroachment operations would continue across the city to clear public spaces and provide residents with better and unobstructed access.
