KARACHI, Aug. 17, 2026: Google has announced a one-year free Google Gemini subscription for students in Pakistan and around the world, with an application process now available for eligible students.
Pakistani students can apply for the free subscription by following a few simple steps.
How to Apply for the Free Gemini Subscription
1. Visit the Google AI student page: Google AI Student Offer
2. Select the option for one year of free Google AI Plus. The regular subscription is reportedly priced at around Rs1,400 per month.
3. Google will then redirect applicants to a page where their student status will be verified.
4. Enter the required personal information, including your name, father's name, country, educational institution, date of birth and email address.
5. Click on the option to verify your student status.
6. Upload the required documents as proof of student status.
These may include:
- Student identification card
- Academic schedule or timetable
- Tuition fee receipt
After reviewing the documents, Google will verify eligible students and provide access to Gemini and the associated Google AI benefits free of charge for one year.
The announcement comes shortly after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated Google's new office in Pakistan in Islamabad. A nine-member Google delegation, led by Google Vice President Wilson White, also met with the prime minister on the occasion.
