FAISALABAD, Aug. 28, 2026 — Civil Defence enforcement teams in Faisalabad have sealed 94 illegal LPG refilling shops over the past three days and confiscated LPG refilling equipment from 78 outlets, officials said on Friday. The crackdown was carried out across several areas of the district as authorities sought to prevent accidents linked to unauthorised LPG refilling, particularly in residential and densely populated neighbourhoods.

Operations conducted across Faisalabad

According to officials, enforcement teams conducted operations in Satiana Road, Machli Farm Chowk, Baba Farid Town, Waris Pura Road, Sohailabad, Factory Area, Nawaban Wala Road in Samanabad, Maqsoodabad, Makuana, 215-RB Nethri, 209-RB, Tariqabad, Millat Road, Sheikhupura Road, Hajiabad, D-Type Colony, Gulistan Colony, Chabban Mor, Allama Iqbal Colony, Jhal Chowk and the Larri Adda area of Sargodha Road.

Safety concerns over illegal refilling

Officials said the businesses targeted in the operation were allegedly carrying out LPG refilling without proper authorisation in residential areas. Authorities warned that unauthorised LPG refilling posed a serious risk to public safety and could lead to major fires or explosions, potentially causing loss of life and property. Civil Defence officials said enforcement operations against illegal LPG refilling would continue across the district to protect residents and prevent potentially serious accidents.
