Faisalabad Government Schools Secure Three Positions in Matric Exams

FAISALABAD, Aug. 10: A delegation of teachers' organizations has congratulated the Faisalabad District Education Authority on the strong performance of government schools in the matriculation examinations, including three top positions.

The delegation, led by All Government Employees Grand Alliance (AGEGA) Punjab Chairman Hafiz Ghulam Mohiuddin and Teachers' Organisation of Pakistan Faisalabad President Hafiz Abdul Nasir, met Chief Executive Officer of the District Education Authority Rao Abdul Karim.

The delegation also praised the timely promotions of hundreds of teachers and appreciated measures being taken to promote character-building among students. It called for the continued implementation of student training programmes.

Rao Abdul Karim said the education authority had launched a "Learn to Earn" programme to promote information technology education and practical skills among students. Under the first phase, 200 students were provided free IT training.

He said students completing the programme would be able to earn a reasonable income and contribute to supporting their families.

Following the success of the pilot programme, separate training centres for boys and girls will be established in each tehsil, he said.

The delegation assured the education authority of its full cooperation in programmes aimed at improving student welfare and educational opportunities.
