Faisalabad DC Directs Officers to Intensify Field Visits and Improve Public Service Delivery

FAISALABAD, August 21, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nauman Siddique chaired a meeting of Additional Deputy Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners to review field activities and public service delivery across the district. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioners Anwar Ali, Mudassar Mumtaz, Murad Hussain Nikokara, Sara Zainab, and Shireena Janjua, along with Assistant Commissioner City Adil Umar, Assistant Commissioner Sadar Dr Zulqarnain and other officials. The meeting reviewed the district administration’s field activities, Suthra Punjab, cleanliness arrangements, anti-encroachment operations, traffic flow, resolution of public complaints, service delivery by government departments and various public welfare initiatives.

DC Muhammad Nauman Siddique directed all officers to regularly visit the field and ensure the prompt resolution of public issues in line with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s public service vision. He ordered daily reporting on the performance of Suthra Punjab and the cleanliness situation in the city. He also directed officials to ensure proper branding of waste containers and bins.

The deputy commissioner instructed officials to maintain effective coordination with WASA for the immediate removal and drainage of wastewater from sewers. He also directed them to ensure high-quality cleanliness arrangements at the city’s entry and exit points. Assistant commissioners were directed to introduce at least one public welfare initiative every month, including park improvements, wall paintings, lane marking in urban areas and traffic safety projects.

The DC also ordered measures for establishing paddle courts and cricket arenas in every tehsil to provide young people with opportunities for healthy and positive activities. Regarding complaints against PERA staff, he directed officials to prepare proper duty schedules and ensure timely resolution of complaints.

Assistant commissioners were also instructed to regularly visit metro routes, remove encroachments and improve traffic flow. The meeting also emphasized developing an effective mechanism for vendors and establishing additional designated vending markets. Nauman Siddique made it clear that vendors should not be visible on main roads and that suitable alternative locations should be provided for them.He directed assistant commissioners to visit sub-registrar offices, land record centres and e-Khidmat centres, meet citizens directly and assess service delivery and public issues.

Officials were also instructed to visit hospitals and rural health centres, meet patients and obtain direct feedback about medical facilities, availability of medicines and other problems.The deputy commissioner said that effective field presence, identification of public issues and their prompt resolution were essential for good governance and improved service delivery. He directed all officers to perform their responsibilities efficiently and make public service their top priority.
