FAISALABAD, Pakistan, Sept 24 (Digital Itla) — The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has warned its employees of disciplinary action, including dismissal, if allegations of corruption, misconduct or misuse of official authority are proven.

FDA Director General Muhammad Asif Chaudhry issued the warning while chairing a meeting on administrative discipline, staff performance and the delivery of public services, according to a statement issued by the authority on Thursday.

Chaudhry said the authority was implementing a “zero tolerance” policy towards corruption in line with directives from the Punjab government.

He directed officials to ensure transparency, merit and compliance with the law and said unnecessary delays or obstacles in legitimate public matters should be avoided.

The authority said action would be taken without discrimination in cases involving negligence, absenteeism, unnecessary delays, misuse of authority, bribery or other forms of corruption.

Chaudhry also directed officers to monitor pending cases, applications and public complaints and ensure they were resolved within the prescribed time.

He said the FDA would continue measures aimed at strengthening transparency, accountability and merit and improving governance within the authority.
