DEPUTY COMMISSIONER NOMAN SIDDIQUE REVIEWS UPGRADATION PLAN FOR GENERAL BUS STAND UNDER PUNJAB BEAUTIFICATION DRIVE

FAISALABAD, Pakistan 26 Sep (Digital Itla) —Deputy Commissioner Noman Siddique have reviewed a proposed beautification and modernization plan for the city's main General Bus Stand, aiming to upgrade public transport infrastructure, officials said on Saturday.

The initiative, part of a broader public welfare and urban development campaign launched by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, is designed to enhance commuter facilities and improve overall urban aesthetics in the industrial hub.

During a planning session, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Noman Siddique instructed technical teams to draft a comprehensive, actionable strategy focused on modernizing facilities for both passengers and transport operators.

Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Chief Engineer Mehr Ayub briefed officials on the initial designs and technical aspects of the upgrade, outlining progress on the preliminary planning stages.

Siddique directed relevant departments to ensure close inter-agency coordination to align the project with modern urban standards. Senior regional administration, development, and transport officials attended the briefing.

Implementation schedules and funding details for the renovation work are expected following final layout approvals.
