Daughter Allegedly Linked to Father’s Murder as Jaranwala Police Crack Case
FAISALABAD, — Aug. 25, 2026: Police in Jaranwala have solved the murder of a man in less than 24 hours, with investigators alleging that his teenage daughter was involved in the killing along with a young man known to her.
The case came to light after police were informed of the sudden death of Asif in the 116 GB area of Jaranwala. Initial information suggested that unidentified gunmen had entered the house and shot him dead.
Asif's only daughter, identified by police as Ayesha Mah Noor, aged about 17 to 18, was reportedly present at the house when the incident occurred.
Following directions from Faisalabad City Police Officer Tanveer Hussain, a team led by Jaranwala SP Akhtar Ali Vains and Saddar Jaranwala SHO Malik Muhammad Imran began investigating the case.
Investigators examined evidence and pursued several lines of inquiry before turning their attention to the victim's daughter, police said.
According to police, the investigation found that the girl allegedly had a relationship with a young man and that her father had discovered them together. Police allege that the girl and the young man then planned and carried out the killing.
Authorities said the case was traced in less than 24 hours, describing the investigation as a significant breakthrough in what initially appeared to be an unidentified-assailant murder.
Police have continued questioning the suspects and gathering evidence as part of the investigation. Further legal proceedings will follow, officials said.
The allegations have yet to be tested in court, and the suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
