(Digital Itla) The Cockroach Janata Party announced an end to its protest after the Indian government accepted the demonstrators' demands. Following the Modi government's announcement to grant their demands and drop all charges registered against protesters, the party called off the demonstration. According to Indian media, the leadership stated this was a victory for justice rather than a single party and urged protesters to return home peacefully. Celebrations broke out outside Jantar Mantar among workers and students. Indian President Murmu accepted the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, assigning Pralhad Joshi additional charge of the Ministry of Education. The movement gained momentum following medical entrance exam (NEET) paper leaks, which had prompted dozens of student suicides and endangered the futures of over 2 million students.
