(Digital Itla) Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad, Kynat Azhar Khan, stated that obtaining a driving license and obeying traffic rules is essential for every eligible citizen to ensure safe travel.
According to details, the Islamabad Traffic Police reached another key milestone in public service delivery.
A spokesperson for the Islamabad Police shared that over 437,000 citizens have been provided various driving license services so far this year.
The provision of timely, transparent, paperless, and cashless services to citizens in the federal capital continues at a rapid pace.
A report released by the spokesperson indicated that the licensing system was expedited using modern technology to deliver various services:

Over 82,000 citizens were issued new learner driving permits.

Over 75,000 citizens received new (fresh) driving licenses.

Over 48,000 driving licenses were renewed.

Over 4,300 duplicate licenses were issued.

Over 7,000 licenses were converted or endorsed from other districts or categories.
CTO Islamabad Kynat Azhar Khan remarked that providing transparent, fast, and high-quality services is their top priority. Thanks to modern reforms in the licensing system, the public now enjoys highly accessible, international-standard facilities.
She added that through modern service centers, digital initiatives, and citizen-friendly measures, the Islamabad Traffic Police remains committed to promoting a safe, organized, and law-abiding traffic culture in the capital.
She appealed to citizens that obtaining a driving license and following traffic rules is indispensable for safe travel, urging drivers to always carry their licenses and view compliance with traffic laws as a moral and legal duty.
